Four Neligh-Oakdale athletes will represent the school in six events at the 2014 Nebraska State Track Meet.
Kayla Wright won the 300 meter hurdles at the district meet in Atkinson today. The freshman hurdler ran a 48.5 for the gold medal and a trip to state.
Claudia Orozco, a freshman distance runner, was the first to cross the finish line in the 1600 meter run. She captured the gold medal and qualified for state with her time of 5:58.3.
Senior Hayley Snodgrass qualified in two field events, the shot put and discus. Snodgrass earned second place in both with a toss of 35-3 in the shot put and 103-8 in the discus.
Alexis Jensen sprinted her way to state in two events, capturing silver medals in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash. with a time of 13.2 seconds. The freshman ran the 100 in 13.2 seconds and the 200 in 27.6 seconds.

The Neligh-Oakdale girls team finished in third place and the boys were seventh.
