Northeast Nebraska will be front and center this summer for the 31st Tour de Nebraska with stops in familiar cities, including Neligh.
The five-day trip will be June 20-24 and begin in Plainview with a BBQ on Tuesday, June 19. Bicyclists will ride from Plainview to Neligh, where they will spend the night. Organizers called Neligh "an amazing town" during the announcement and talked in detail about Riverside Park and the drive-in.
From Neligh, riders will go to O'Neill, where they will spend the next night before traveling to Niobrara, whichis the final community on the route. That will be a two-night stop and include lots of activities from a Pow Wow on Friday night to canoeing and tubing on the Missouri River. There will also be tours with Kreycik Elk & Buffalo Ranch in Niobrara.
