It's an exclusive invitation - one that takes a strong team to attain. And for the second straight year, the Neligh-Oakdale wrestling team received an invitation to the Nebraska Duals Tournament.
The Warriors are ranked as the fifth-best dual team in Class D and will represent the class at the University of Nebraska-Kearney Health & Sports Center in two weeks - the week after the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament at CenturyLink Center in Omaha.
Qualification was based upon a point system from district points, entries and state qualifiers. The Warriors received 266 points, earning the fifth seed in Class D.
Also earning the invitation are 1. Amherst, 2. Plainview, 3. Winside, 4. North Platte St. Patrick's, 6. Thayer Central, 7. Mullen and 8. Sutton.
The first round will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 1. The second-round matches, semifinals and consolations will begin at approximately 4:30 p.m. The final matches will be at 6 p.m. with awards presented at 7:30 p.m.
