Tinder, the social media app Sydney Loofe used to arrange a date prior to going missing, has issued a statement about her death.
"We are deeply saddened by this horrific tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family and loved ones, and we are fully cooperating with law enforcement in this investigation," the statement said.
Loofe met Bailey Boswell, a person of interest in the case, using Tinder. Boswell said in a video she posted on Facebook that she had two dates with Loofe, who was last seen in Wilber. That's also the area last pinged by Loofe's cell phone.
Boswell and Aubrey Trail, who both lived in Wilber at the time and are both called persons of interset, are currently jailed on a federal hold in the case. They were arrested near Branson, Missouri, on warrants unrelated to the case.
As of Thursday, police could be seen using K-9 units as they searched the route between Wilber and Clay County, Nebraska.
