Antelope County athletes claimed 10 medals at the Norfolk Classic on Thursday, including a gold medal and two silver medals.
Jagger Smith became the first Clearwater-Orchard boy to strike gold at the meet by winning the high jump. He also placed fourth in the long jump.
Elkhorn Valley's Noah Rutjens was second in the triple jump, and Clearwater-Orchard's Kylie Thiele was runner-up in the 800.
In triple jump, Elkhorn Valley's Ranee Keehn was fourth in the girls division while Neligh-Oakdale's Grant White was fifth in the boys. Hannah Ollendick of Elkhorn Valley was fifth in the 300 hurdles.
Ryan Pelster of Elgin Public Pope John also earned a medal, finishing sixth in the 3,200.
Clearwater-Orchard's 4x400 team of Thiele, Kinzly Macke, Mallory Cooper and Alexis Pokorny placed fourth, rounding out the medals.
Also competing at the meet were Brooklynn Chipps of Clearwater-Orchard in the shot put, Amber Miller of Elkhorn Valley in the pole vault and Austin Miller of Elkhorn Valley in the 3,200.
