A Neligh native recently started his own business. While Ross Shabram opened Ross's Repair and is in business by himself, he said his motivation comes from doing something for the community.
"My main reason is to give back to Neligh," Shabram said.
Growing up in Neligh where he graduated in 2009, Shabram went on to study diesel technology at Northeast Community College and has been in the diesel mechanic field for five years.
Shabram said his interest in mechanical work stemmed from his family, where his dad and brother were also mechanics.
"My dad was a mechanic at Johnny Dodge and my brother was a mechanic at Neligh Tractor and John Deere," Shabram said.
Shabram said he is excited to start his own mechanic service.
"It’s nice to be able to come out and have my shop and run it the way I like it," Shabram said.
Shabram said Ross's Repair provides service for a wide array of mechanical repair needs.
"Ross's Repair can do anything from a full car service to major overhaul on a semi. We work on tractors and farm equipment. We can do anything," Shabram said.
Not only does Ross's Repair provide a service for a vast variety of mechanical work, they also carry panels for livestock.
"We do all the mechanic work and carry a line of continuous fencing and swinging gates for cattle guards," Shabram said.
