The weather didn't damper spirits - or attendance - at the annual Neligh Young Men's Club Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.
The event was moved from Riverside Park to the American Legion thanks snow conditions on Saturday, along with remaining snow on the ground that lingered from a storm earlier this week that dropped about 9 inches in Neligh.
Consistent with previous years, there were four age divisions for the hunt - 0-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-7 - but this year, the hunts were each 30 minutes apart to allow members to hide the eggs in between divisions.
With greenery, wooden pallets, Christmas trees and even tires scattered through half of the Legion, the hunts actually took a little bit longer than in previous years.
NYMC president Adam Mortenson said the afternoon went even better than expected and attendance was great. By having the hunt on Easter weekend, he said it brought in even more youth since many were in town visiting family.
More than 150 youth participated in the afternoon hunts.
