A Neligh marketing and media company was recognized this week with the “Main Street Business of the Year” award.
Annually, the Nebraska Main Street Network recognizes outstanding projects and people on Main Street in Nebraska. Projects large and small are recognized and serve as outstanding examples of what downtown revitalization is all about.
Pitzer Digital is based in Neligh and owned by Carrie and Wade Pitzer. The company has several subsidiaries, including The Orchard News, Antelope County News, Knox County News, Holt County News and Boone County News.
The Nebraska Main Street Network program honors the efforts of those who work day in and day out in downtown revitalization statewide. Without the volunteers, the business owners, city officials, investors, stakeholders and supporters of the revitalization effort and Main Street programs in those communities, Nebraska’s downtowns would not be as vibrant as they are today.
All designated Main Street communities and Associate/Rural Associate Members were eligible to submit award nominations.
The award will be presented to Pitzer Digital at a later date.
