An open house was held for the new AMH Family Practice Clinic in Neligh on Sunday afternoon.
More than 200 area residents attended the event to view the new clinic. It will officially open in early 2018.
The clinic’s new entrance is located on the east side of the AMH facility, just north of the hospital’s main entrance.
“We have planned for this project several years,” said Jack Green, AMH Administrator. “It’s exciting to now begin offering our clinic services in a new setting that is professional, spacious and aesthetically pleasing to our patients.”
The new clinic has nine rooms for patient clinic visits, one procedure room and additional work space for the providers and staff, added Green. It is designed to maximize the flow of patients in-coming and out-going. It aims to better accommodate and enhance the services and health care excellence provided by the medical staff.
In the mid-1990s, Antelope Memorial Hospital purchased the current Neligh AMH Clinic from Dr. John Byrd. Joanie Smith, APRN, provided its clinic services at that time and was soon joined by Dr. Roger Rudloff and Dr. Troy Dawson in 1997. They later were joined in practice by nurse practitioner, Patti Good (February 1999). Other providers who joined the current AMH Medical Staff more recently are Dr. Lockee (January 2015), Lindsey Badertscher, PA-C (June 2016), Ashley Thies, APRN (July 2016) and Angela Sucha, PA-C (September 2017). Dr. Kelli Osborn will join AMH in 2018.
The clinic’s moving date is set for the first week in January with its official opening to follow. The AMH Medical Staff also provides clinic services at AMH Family Practice’s four satellite clinics located in Elgin, Clearwater, Tilden and Orchard.
