Antelope Memorial Hospital welcomes the addition of Ryan Stagemeyer, CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetist), to its surgical staff this summer. Originally from Arapahoe, Stagemeyer is a 2006 graduate of Arapahoe High School.
He attended Nebraska Wesleyan University, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. He attended Creighton University, graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).
Following graduation, he worked for over a year in ICU at the University of Iowa Hospital. In Fall 2013, he enrolled in the Bryan College of Nurse Anesthesia, graduating in May 2016 as a CRNA. This week, he begins his career at AMH.
“I’m from a small town and really like the ‘feel’ of a small town and its simplicity,” said Stagemeyer. “I’m very excited to come to Neligh for both my career and to meet new people from a small-town setting. I also appreciate the professionalism of Antelope Memorial Hospital and its staff. They work well together as a team and I look forward to being a part of it.”
Ryan’s parents are Doug and Julie Stagemeyer of rural Ashland where they farm.
Ryan has two older sisters, Erica Ross and Pamela Haschke, and one older brother, Matthew. Erica and her husband, Ivan, reside in Bennington with their children, Olivia, Isaiah and Kellen.
Pamela and her husband, Shane, live in Ashland with their children, Alexandria, Grayson and Charleigh. Matthew and his wife, Suzanna, reside in Kansas City with their children, Elijah, Michael and John.
Ryan’s hobbies include spending time with family, golfing, exercising (weight lifting) and any kind of hunting with bow or firearm to include deer, pheasant or turkey. This summer, Ryan looks forward to providing anesthetic care for patients of all ages at the AMH Surgical Center.
