A rural Neligh woman has been hospitalized after being hit by a pickup truck on Saturday morning, according to Antelope County Sheriff Bob Moore.
He said Deb Rice sustained serious injuries when she was struck by a family-owned pickup on private property northeast of Neligh. The incident occurred near 852 Road, 3 miles north and 2.5 miles east of Neligh.
"An unoccupied pickup was parked on a hillside, and it either jumped out of gear or was left in neutral when it rolled into her while they were working cattle," Moore said.
Rice was transported by Neligh Rescue to Antelope Memorial Hospital. He said she was later airlifted to another hospital, and is reportedly in stable condition.
