City of Neligh officials have delayed the opening of the swimming pool.
Neligh's pool will open Thursday, May 29, which several days later than usual due to unavailability of the pool staff, according to City Clerk Dana Klabenes. Free admission will be offered on opening day.
Klabenes said the pool will also be open on Friday, May 30, but will be closed on Saturday, May 31. The pool will reopen on Sunday, June 1.
The pool hours will be from 1 to 8 p.m. every day throughout the summer, unless there is inclement weather.
Alisha Carr will serve as the pool manager and Erin Keetle will be the assistant manager. Lifeguards are Emily Anderson, Broderick Tyrrell, Noelle Ervin, Matthew Ervin, Kimmie Murray, Taylor White, Danae Smith, Whitney Beacom, Tyson Belitz, Garrett Jacobsen, Madison Ertz, Kelsey Green, Kinsley Klabenes, Lindsay Sands, Kayla Wright, Tia Smith and Zach Chance.
Admission prices are the same this year. Single admission is $1 per entry for children age 4 and under; $2 for children age 5 and up; and $3 for adults (high school students and older). Season passes are $50 for a single and $100 for a family.
As part of a fundraiser, the pool will again sell Schwan’s ice cream, Gatorade, pop and water. The proceeds will be used for pool improvement projects.
