Neligh fought its way into Sunday's championship game of the Peewee division of the Quad County tournament but fell short in the final.
Tilden won 12-5.
In a game of momentum, Tilden pulled ahead 5-1 in the fourth inning. Carter Rautenberg hit a home run to give Tilden a sizable advantage.
But Neligh wasn't done and quickly put three runners on base when Julian Hearn stepped up to the plate and powered out a grand slam to even the score.
Tilden answered back though, led by another Rautenberg home run, and scored six runs in the fifth.
