The Neligh-Oakdale Elementary will celebrate Red Ribbon Week, Nov. 13-18.
"This is a time to celebrate living a healthy, drug-free life," said Becky Kerkman, elementary guidance counselor.
Here are a list of the week's events and dress up days:
Monday - Students are encouraged to wear read. Red Rally Glow Walk in the high school gym 6-7 p.m. As a service project, students and parents can bring donated items to be sent in care packages to Neligh-Oakdale alumni currently serving our country. Students will also receive bracelets to wear throughout the week.
Tuesday - "Hand in hand we take a stand to be healthy and drug free" - Students will be able to write pledges about keeping their bodies healthy. Students will made a cutout of their hands. This is the last day to donate items for the care packages.
Wednesday - "Wild About Making Healthy Choices" - Crazy hair day
Thursday - "Sock It To Drugs" - Students can wear crazy socks.
Friday - "Team Up Against Drugs" - Students are encouraged to wear school colors.
All guidance lessons throughout the week will focus on making healthy choices for our bodies.
