The cross country team does not begin practices until August 15 as well, but many students spent time running the Cowboy Trail to get their bodies ready for the first meet on September 1.
The football team started their practices Monday in a helmets only session. The team looks to get their full preparations in time for the opening game against Creighton on August 25.
