The Warriors and Falcons battled back and forth throughout the first half Friday night.
But Neligh-Oakdale came out strong in the third quarter, giving them the momentum in the second half for the 52-34 win.
"I think we learned a little bit about ourselves tonight," said Warrior Coach Frank Gade. "The first half we had multiple opportunities to extend the lead and break away, but for whatever reason, the short ones were not falling tonight. I was proud of the way the boys responded in the second half after struggling in the first half."
Tyson Belitz led the Warriors with 16 points, followed by Grant White with 15; Alex Kerkman, 9; and Ben Lingenfelter, 6. Belitz, Kerkman and Chris Bentley each grabbed 7 rebounds. Click here for complete Warrior game stats.
Falcon senior Jayson Larson had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Knievel and Kendall Albin each scored 8 points, and Knievel crashed the boards for 14 rebounds. Click here for Falcon game stats.
