A Neligh man was given 3-5 more years to a prison sentence he is already serving for sexual assault of a minor.
According to county attorney Joe Abler, Christian Hawk, 24, was offered a plea deal that allowed him to plea guilty to a Class 3A Felony rather than a Class 1 Felony.
Hawk is currently serving a sentence of 6-8 years for an assault that occurred in 2012 and was reported in 2014.
The new sentence will be consecutive to the previous sentence, said Abler. Hawk must serve at least 18 months before he will be eligible for parole and at least 30 before mandatory release and 30 months before mandatory release. He also must register as a sex offender for 25 years.
