Neligh’s newest medical clinic is open and accepting patients at its new primary care facility in.
Neligh Family Medicine, part of the Faith Regional Physicians Services family, is located in the recently constructed Mill Pointe Plaza that also houses Midwest Medical and State Farm Insurance.
Dr. Doug Dilly, one of two providers at the Neligh clinic, said adding the location in Neligh was to be more accessible to Antelope County patients.
“One of the reasons I moved the clinic here was because we have a lot of patients out this way and we can better serve our patients by having this facility here,” he said.
The building is well equipped for the needs of patients and the staff, with five patients room, an X-ray room, lab room and a break room for the staff.
“Here in the clinic we have X-Ray, lab, full IV fluids, IV antibiotics...we can do a lot of services that typically you have to send to the hospital to do. . .We have that flexibility because we are affiliated with Faith Regional.”
The staff working at the Neligh clinic are all familiar faces to the community, from working at the Tilden office as well as Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh.
“They are all people that have been here for 20 years. I have been here for 20 years. This is my town, my community.”
Because the Neligh office is affiliated with Faith Regional, they can communicate easily between the Norfolk and Tilden facilities and can communicate with the patients easier.
“We work hand in hand with Tilden, so anyone who calls either place will get the same communication.”
Neligh Family Medicine will be open from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. throughout the week. Dr. Dilly will be available to see patients on Monday and Wednesday in Neligh. Sharon Gossman will be serving as the other doctor on site. Gossman served previously at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. She will be able to see patients at the Neligh office Tuesday-Friday.
Dilly has worked with Faith Regional as a Emergency Care Physician in Norfolk and as a Family Care Physician in Tilden. He said he feels confident in his ability to treat patients with the new office, and aims to treat people how he would if he was a patient.
“It’s something that after doing it for 20 years you get pretty comfortable knowing what people need and what people want. I know what I want, and I look to treat people the same way that I would want to be treated.”
Faith Regional’s facilities keep two goals in mind: take good care of patients and operate in a positive, happy environment. Dilly said they have accomplished that with their other facilities and is confident they will be able to extend that same experience to the Neligh Clinic.
“Our goal is two things: work hard to take good care of our patients and work in a happy environment. We have had that, and we have that here,” Dilly said.
