eWith the new school year bring a lot of new changes to classrooms. And one of those changes took place in the Neligh-Oakdale brand room over the summer.
Kasi Grosserode, a senior at Neligh-Oakdale schools, created a mural over the summer in the band room.
This is not the first mural Grossrode has created. She originally created one last year in the back of the band room, and also made one in downtown Neligh
Grosserode said the inspiration was given to her by the Neligh-Oakdale band teacher Nate Metschke. Metschke says Grosserode is incredibly talented in many aspects, and that is why he asked her.
"I've always admired murals in other schools and hoped to have some painted in my classroom. Kasi is incredibly talented and I'm so happy that she was able to showcase her talents in my classroom. She's also a Class C All-State trumpet player and one of the most responsible young ladies I know."
Grosserode says that the experience with painting the murals has helped her make the decision of being an Art Teacher in her future career.
