The Neligh Pony baseball team's bats were blazing Monday night as they rolled to a 12-4 win over Pierce.
"The Neligh Pony bats started off hot, jumping to a 6-run, bottom of the first scoring explosion, helped by home runs from Hunter Charf and Tucker Knust," Coach Matt Belitz said.
Charf also recorded a triple, and Knust hit a double on the night. Cole Belitz and Conor Ramold each tallied a double and a single at bat.
Others hitting singles were Jayden Arehart with three; and Beau Murray, Hunter Reestman and Kaleb Pofahl with one each.
Charf pitched 4 innings for Neligh with 8 strikeouts; and Reestman recorded 4 strikeouts in 2 innings.
