A former Neligh-Oakdale teacher was appointed to the Board of Education for a second time.
During Monday's special meeting, Ronald Gilg was appointed to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Chris Ford, who moved out of the district last month. This is Gilg's second time to be appointed to the Neligh-Oakdale board. He was appointed in 2010 and did not seek election in 2014.
Gilg is the third individual to fill this term, which ends in January 2017. Del Ames was elected in November 2012 and resigned in January 2015. Ford replaced Ames later that month.
Cory Furstenau also interviewed for the position on Monday. Both Gilg and Furstenau interviewed for the same position in 2015 when Ford was selected.
