Northeast Nebraska's premier marketing company - Pitzer Digital, LLC - is continuing to grow and announced this week the hiring of graphic designer Emilee Straka.
Straka, who has a bachelor of arts degree in graphic design from Briar Cliff University, will assist in both marketing duties for Pitzer Digital and reporting for the Antelope County News.
"Emilee is a wonderful addition to our company," said Carrie Pitzer, president of Pitzer Digital. "She brings not only advertising and graphic design experience but also a positive attitude and outgoing personality. We are a community-oriented marketing agency that works diligently to help small businesses grow, and Emilee will make an impact toward our dedication to that philosophy."
Straka, who is originally from Battle Creek, previously was a graphic designer at Affiliated Foods Midwest, where she designed the original grocery ads used by area stores, including Thriftway Market in Tilden and Neligh. Straka plans to move to the Neligh area.
"I'm excited to be a part of the team at Pitzer Digital and the ACN," Straka said. "This is a great opportunity with a creative outlet for graphic design, advertising and online marketing. Pitzer Digital is diversified and progressive but still focuses on small businesses and communities. It's a great fit for me."
Pitzer Digital is a marketing agency that handles all forms of advertising from website development to print advertising. The company has launched more than 40 websites in the last year in four states and also designs catalogs, calendars, flyers, business cards and even ads that run in newspapers and national magazines.
Pitzer said Straka will assist in graphic design as well as help area businesses with their marketing plans. She'll also spend time working with the Antelope County News reporting, under the guidance of Editor Jenny Higgins.
"The Antelope County News has flourished since its launch on January 1 and continues to grow," Pitzer said. "It's reach is far beyond county lines with nearly 5,000 unique visitors each day, making it a dominant force in Northeast Nebraska media. It's a tremendous news source and advertising opportunity for businesses in the area."
Pitzer Digital, which also owns the Knox County News, has been called Neligh's fastest growing business. The location at 110 E. 4th Street serves as the company's home office. The company also has workers in Knox County.
"We have a lot of talent and experience at Pitzer Digital. Not a day goes by that we don't refer back to our motto, which is 'Helping Small Businesses Succeed Is Our Business,' " Pitzer said. "We follow that philosophy daily and are proud to be not only making an economic impact in the area ourselves, but to help in the marketing efforts of other businesses to extend the impact even further."
