Creighton is sponsoring an awareness and fundraiser event for the Sydney Loofe family on Friday when the Bulldogs host Neligh-Oakdale in basketball.
Sydney is the daughter of George and Susie Loofe of Neligh and has been missing since Nov. 15. Multiple agencies, including the FBI, is actively searching for the missing 24-year-old. Both of her parents are educators at Neligh-Oakdale.
Creighton will host the Warriors in basketball on Friday, Dec. 8, beginning at 4 p.m. A "green out" is planned, so everyone is encouraged to wear green in recognition of missing children everywhere.
Split the pot proceeds will be donated to the Loofe family to help with expenses incurred during this difficult time, along with bake sale proceeds. Please note, an account has been set up at Heritage Bank in Neligh if you would like to make an individual donation.
Creighton students may wear also wear a hat during the games — if they are wearing green — for a $1 donation.
