Neligh-Oakdale is accepting applications for treasurer for the board of education following the resignation of Deb Branstiter on Wednesday.
Branstiter has served as district treasurer since January 2002. According to Superintendent Kimberly Lingenfelter, Branstiter verbally resigned effective immediately.
On Tuesday, Branstiter was appointed interim treasurer for Antelope County after supervisors removed Sandy Knapp as treasurer.
According to a press release, the position pays $100 per month and duties include reporting monthly status of district funds and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will need to be bonded within 10 days of being elected to the position. The cost of the bond will be paid by the school district.
