It’s a day of clean-up in Antelope County after more than a foot of snow fell in the area.
Several communities had back-to-back snow days, and some have taken advantage of the days off from school. Today, the snow removal has been an all-hands-on-deck for both officials and residents.
City of Neligh Superintendent Dean Bly said the snow removal started last night and continued throughout the day.
“It started yesterday. We got things windrowed down Main Street and the business area. We went out and hit the snow routes this morning and started loading on Main Street, trying to pick up snow,” Bly said. “Once we got things windrowed again on Main Street, the plows went out and started hitting the residential areas.”
Clean-up is expected to continue for the next several days.
“It’s been tough-going. The snow is real wet and heavy," Bly said.
