Why do you love playing this sport? “Volleyball will get me going any time of year. If I have a bad day in school, I know I can make it better at practice."
What is the most important thing you learned from sports? “To never give up. When it’s 20-10 in the last set and you’re down, that doesn’t mean you’re going to lose. You fight to the finish and hold your head up high no matter what the outcome is.”
What is the hardest part of practice? “Conditioning."
What is your favorite memory from playing sports? “Going to Callamus before the season started with the whole team.”
Why do you love playing this sport? “I started playing volleyball when I was younger and fell in love with it because when you get that perfect serve or dig it makes you feel so strong."
What is the most important thing you learned from sports? “It’s fine to mess up! Just keep going and push yourself to be better. Your teammates have your back and you have theirs.”
What is the hardest part of practice? “When Coach makes everyone run based on how well everyone else does. Also, when you mess up on a big play and start getting frustrated. But that’s what your teammates are for."
What is your favorite memory from playing sports? “My sophomore year we had a home game versus St. Marry’s. We rocked every set in that game. It gave us the drive for districts against Crofton. I was so proud of my team.”
