The American Red Cross urges donors of all blood types to give now to help prevent delays in patient care this summer.
Donors are invited to Elgin's blood drive on Tuesday, June 26. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 117 S. 2nd St. in Elgin. While thousands of donors have answered the call to donate blood, more donors are needed now to help ensure blood types don’t go missing. During the summer, especially around holidays like Independence Day, donations often don’t keep pace with patient needs. Make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). |
